USC Upstate Announces Junior Scholars

The University of South Carolina Upstate recently announced a list of 608 high school juniors who have been named Junior Scholars in honor of their academic achievements.

High school guidance counselors from around the state of South Carolina can nominate up to five students from their school to be selected as a Junior Scholar.

Students must have a 3.25 grade point average (GPA) and have scored at least 1100 on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Junior Scholars do receive early consideration for admission to USC Upstate if they choose to apply to the University.

The following students have selected as Junior Scholars:

  • Lexington High School: Benjamin Bartlett, Caroline Haggard, Chandler Hendrix, Sarah Stansill, and Erin Taylor
  • White Knoll High School: Michelle Corley, Benjamin Harmon, Kristen Phelps, Andrew Roof, and Sally Wright
  • Dutch Fork High School: Beau Bennett, Marissa Cantwell, Karishma Dewnani, Taylor Quindlen, and Charles Solomon
  • Ridge View High School: India Green, Chantel Hall, Heather Robison, Jeremiah Wells, and Alexander Welte
