Gov. Rick Perry to Skip Labor Day Forum, Return to Texas to Address Wildfires
Perry spoke this morning at a town hall meeting held in Myrtle Beach
Texas Governor Rick Perry won't attend the Palmetto Freedom Forum as scheduled on Monday.
The governor's press office confirmed for CNN that Perry will return to Texas following a town hall meeting in Myrtle Beach to address wildfire problems in Texas.
Perry was scheduled to attend Senator Jim DeMint's forum of Republican presidential contenders in Columbia at 3 p.m.

Gov. Perry has advocated that when running for a higher political office one should vacate the political office presently held, (and unless he has flip flopped) he still believes this to be the case.
Returning to Texas because of the wildfires is very convient at a time when not doing so would require him to answer questions posed by Senator DeMint and others.
I for one look forward to the pictures of Gov. Perry holding a hose in full fire fighting gear extinguishing the fires, and saving the state from further damage.

Guess, he can't handle the fire in the Palmetto Freedom Forum, so go to Texas and put out the fire wild fire instead!
