Dunkin’ Donuts Launches “Community Cups” to Help Support New Programs, Services and Equipment

Fundraising Campaign to Benefit CAMP KEMO Programs of Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital and The Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation

 

Columbia, SC – Oct. 1, 2013Dunkin’ Donuts, America's favorite all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, has partnered with Palmetto Health Foundation to collect donations in all of its Columbia area restaurants from September 30–October 13.  A portion of the donation will also benefit the Southeast chapter of the Dunkin’ Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation (DDBRCF). The mission of The DDBRCF is to serve our neighborhoods by supporting initiatives that address hunger, safety and children’s health.

“The commitment of Dunkin’ Donuts has a significant impact on CAMP KEMO Programs of Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital,” said Samuel Tenenbaum, president of Palmetto Health Foundation. “Their dedication and support will not only help enhance programs that are designed to educate, inspire and support Children’s Hospital patients and their families but also will send a strong and warm embrace from Dunkin’ Donuts saying, ‘we care.’”

During the campaign, $1 donations will be collected to support Palmetto Health Foundation and The DDBRCF at all participating locations in the Columbia region. For each donation, guests will receive a “Community Cup” to sign and display in the restaurant. Fifty percent of the donation will be donated to Palmetto Health Foundation to benefit CAMP KEMO Programs of Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital.  The remaining fifty percent will be donated to The DDBRCF and will be designated for grants to local charities in the Southeast that focus on hunger relief, safety and children's health.
