Local Schools, Businesses Host Holiday Charities

Looking to donate to a charity? Here's a list of holiday-related charities in St. Andrews.

With the holiday season in full swing, you might be looking to give back to the community. Here are a couple of Christmas-related charities to help you spread the cheer.

The Angel Tree at Dutch Square Center

 Stop by The Salvation Army's Christmas Tree in the food court at to pick a child's name off the tree. The children need clothes and shoes. The cards also list a present the child wants.

Gifts must be returned to the mall by Dec. 5 to ensure delivery to the child. After that date, gifts can still be returned to the Hampton Building at the State Fairgrounds by Dec. 15. 

Be a Santa to a Senior at Chick-fil-A

on Bush River Road is partnering with Home Instead Senior Care, Pink Sorbet on Divine St., Waterford Retirement Community and the Richland County Sheriff's Department to make Christmas merry for seniors. 

Stop by and pick a senior's name off the tree. The name card has a list of gifts. Simply buy the gifts and return them to Chick-fil-A. 

Harvest Hope Food Bank

Help a family in need during the holiday season. Richland One is holding a through Dec. 9. Collection barrels are in the front of every school and the district office.
