Readers' Choice: Name Your Favorite Sushi Place

We have relaunched our Readers' Choice contest with dozens of new categories, including sushi.

Edible art at its best!

Sushi has surged in popularity and makes for a fun evening out with friends. Choosing a variety of sushi rolls to share can provide an opportunity to try something new and to even be a little adventurous.

From sashimi to your basic California Roll, there’s at least one thing on that menu to please everyone from the sushi snob to the beginner.

Once you get over the fear of eating raw fish and using those chopsticks, it’s a matter of finding the best places in town to eat.

Where’s the best place in your town to eat sushi? Which place has the freshest fish?  Is there one that stands out because of the variety of rolls?

Nominate your favorite sushi restaurant it to be part of our “Best Sushi,” as Patch unveils its Readers’ Choice.

Just log in and post your vote in the comments section below. You may nominate multiple places, but please post each nomination in a separate comment so we can make sure they are all counted. Your nominee must be in Irmo, Lexington, Spring Valley or St. Andrews to be eligible.

Nominations are due by July 9.

Voting for Readers’ Choice 2012 will begin in late July and winners will be announced in August.

Not necessarily the most unique or authentic, but Red Bowl in Lexington does a nice job with its sushi offerings. A nice selection.

I am the proud wife of Joseph Brown Jr, guidance counselor at W.S. Sandel Elementary School and I amRead More always in awe of how much work and joy go into the "extra" opportunities to serve their community. As an educator at the high school level, I love that Sandel Elementary School is starting their students out in civic engagement so early. Go Eagles and congratulations on your many accomplishments!

Thanks, Mrs. Brown, it's an honor and great pleasure to belong to a team as great as the one atRead More Sandel. It has always been one of my beliefs that early exposure is the key to so many valuable opportunties for children. At Sandel we are encouraged to give that chance to our students.
