Report: Lindsey Graham Has $6 Million in Campaign Account

Preparing for a staunch challenge from his right next year, Sen. Lindsey Graham raised more than $1 million in the second quarter and now has over $6 million in cash on hand, according to report on Wednesday in Politico.

The story also said Graham is expected to announce his full campaign staff on Thursday.

Graham has served in the Senate since 2002. He previously served in the House of Representatives for eight years.

Thus far, the only confirmed Republican challenger to Graham is Richard Cash, who lost in a run-off to Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-3) in 2010. Cash is expected to have company. The most frequently named possibilities are Lowcountry businesswoman Nancy Mace and State Sen. Lee Bright of Spartanburg County.

Jay Stamper has declared his candidacy on the Democratic side.
