Historic Columbia Foundation Seeks New Volunteers

New volunteer training kicks off at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 9.

Historic Columbia Foundation is looking for volunteers willing to donate six or more hours a month to nurturing, supporting and protecting the historical and cultural heritage of Columbia and Richland County.

New volunteer training kicks off at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 9.  Training consists of five general introductory sessions over the course of two months, and additional training will be provided as new volunteers choose their role within HCF.

Last year, HCF's volunteer corps provided more than 11,000 hours of service, a value of $243,540. “Our volunteers are a vital part ofHistoric Columbia, and they are the ones who make it possible to accomplish our goals year after year,” said Ann Posner, HCF’s volunteer manager.
