Ann Romney Submits Primary Election Filing Form

The wife of GOP front-runner Mitt Romney submitted her husband's filing form to the S.C. Republican Party.

Mitt Romney is officially on the GOP ballot in South Carolina. 

Ann Romney, wife of the GOP front-runner, submitted the primary election filing form to S.C. Republican Party Chairman Chad Connelly on Friday at The Summit Club in Columbia.

"We're committed to South Carolina and to campaigning here and to making the state part of that wonderful process that elects the next president of the United States," Ann Romney said before handing over the paperwork and the $35,000 check for the filing fee.

"Mitt is now going to be actively campaigning and participating in this process," she said. 

Friday's stop in Columbia was Ann Romney's third stop in the state this week. Her husband is expected to .

Ann Romney also attended a $50-a-plate fundraiser breakfast at 8 a.m. to help raise money for South Carolina's primary election. .
