Mark Sanford Apologizes for 'Wounded Warrior' Remark

Apologizes via Twitter.

On a day when Elizabeth Colbert-Busch confirmed her intention to run for the vacant seat in the First Congressional District, Mark Sanford was apologizing via social media for remarks he made in a TV interview.

Shortly after announcing his intention to seek his old Congressional seat, Sanford appeared on WBCD television and compared himself to a "wounded warrior."

Today, Sanford apologized for the comparison via Twitter, saying: "I meant no disrespect to our heroic men & women in uniform. I used the wrong analogy trying to make a broader point."
