S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley's ethics hearing will begin on Thursday to determine if the first female to head the state illegally lobbied for her employers while she was a lawmaker.
The governor has been accused of lobbying illegally for Lexington Medical Center and Wilbur Smith Associates while she served in the House. Haley earned $110,000 annually as a fundraiser for the hospital, and earned $42,500 for her work as a consultant for Wilbur Smith.
was not subpoenaed. The first-term governor was interviewed by attorneys for the committee, but Haley hasn't disclosed what was discussed.
The hearing is expected to last two days.
