Tea Party Express Bus Tour to Stop in S.C.

The national tea party group will hold rallies in Greenville, Columbia and Bluffton leading up to a presidential debate in Florida.

The Tea Party Express bus tour is making its way across the U.S., with stops in South Carolina this week. 

The tour, called "Reclaiming America," will stop in Greenville, Columbia and Bluffton before ending in Tampa, Fla. for the Tea Party Presidential Debate presented by Tea Party Express and CNN. 

Tea Party Express, a national tea party group, is holding rallies at its stops in key primary states from the west coast to the east coast.

The rallies will feature conservative speakers, singers, entertainment and a special tribute to members of the military. Some rallies will also include appearances from presidential candidates.

Here are the details for the S.C. rallies:

Greenville
Where: former site of the Greenville Mall Shopping Center, 1115 Woodruff Rd.
When: Friday, 12 p.m.
Speakers: Gov. Nikki Haley and presidential candidates Herman Cain and Buddy Roemer

Columbia
Where: Hard Knox Grill, 1000 Knox Abbott Dr., Cayce
When: Friday, 5 p.m.
Speakers: presidential candidates Buddy Roemer and Rick Santorum

Bluffton
Where: The Promenade, 1 Promenade Dr.
When: Saturday, 12 p.m.

The tour will make two more stops in Florida before ending in Tampa for the national debate on Sept. 12. The debate, which features the top eight presidential candidates, airs at 8 p.m. on CNN. 

The questions for the candidates will come from members of tea party groups across the nation, including the Columbia Tea Party. Two representatives from the Columbia group will attend the debate. 

Other S.C. sponsors of the event include the Laurens County Tea Party, the Beaufort Tea Party, the Tea Party Patriots of Bluffton and the Hilton Head Island Tea Party.
