Deputies are searching for six men who may be involved in a carjacking early Sunday morning. A man reported a 2003 Ford Focus being stolen on Broad River Road, The State reports. The carjacking allegedly happened during a brawl near the 2700 block of Broad River Road.

A teenager was arrested Friday on three charges including carjacking in an incident that occurred July 1.
The Columbia Police Department arrested a 17-year-old they say was involved in a carjacking in Columbia on July 1. Shyiem Marcel Brown is charged with carjacking, armed robbery and criminal conspiracy. Brown allegedly pointed a handgun at a male victim who was sitting in a car at 3922 West Beltline Boulevard on July 1, according to the police department. Police say Brown forcibly removed the driver from the front seat and stole the vehicle. The victim did not require medical attention. Brown was arrested Friday and is being detained at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

Men found sleeping in stolen vehicle
Two men were arrested this weekend and one remains at-large after a carjacking early Saturday morning. Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said Justin Jones, 16, and Robert Alford, 17, were arrested on charges of carjacking. The third suspect remains unidentified. According to Lott, the young men approached a victim at 5831 N. Main Street and asked for a ride. When the victim drove the men to Fiske Street, they robbed him and threw him from the vehicle, Lott said. Jones and Alford were arrested Saturday morning when they were found sleeping in the stolen vehicle, Lott said.
