Obituary: James Daniel Cooper III

Services will held 2 p.m. Friday in Columbia.

COLUMBIA James "Jay" Daniel Cooper, III, 32, of Columbia, died at home March 31, 2013. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013, from 6PM to 8PM at Kornegay & Moseley Funeral Home, 4645 Hardscrabble Rd Columbia, SC 29229. A graveside service officiated by the Reverend James St. John will be held on Friday, April 5, 2013, at 2PM at Elmwood Cemetery and Gardens. Jay graduated from Richland Northeast High School and the University of South Carolina Honors College. He received his juris doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and was employed as an attorney with the Richland County Public Defender's Office where he was privileged to work with talented, dedicated attorneys who were also steadfast friends. Funerals for Man, Woman Killed in Irmo Double-Shooting Held Tuesday

The funerals of Tammy Parker and Bryan Capnerhurst to be held today in Irmo and Gilberty, respectively.

The funeral services for two Lexington County residents killed in the Ascot Estates shootings will be held today.  Tammy Parker, 44, and Bryan Capnerhurst, 46, were both found dead in Parker's home at Tackeria Court on April 13 with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.  Authories say Capnerhurst was invited to the home and that the incident was not a home invasion.  Information on the motive for the shootings have not been released. The Richland County Sheriff's Department did release a page of an incident report on Monday that said Tammy Parker's husband, Brett, was waiting outside the home when police arrived.  Authories also said two different guns were used in the incident but no information has been release of who was shot first…
