A man serving time in federal prison on a gambling charged testified Monday that Brett Parker owed him money.
Brett Parker, an Irmo man on trial for double murder, owed $175,000 to a former Midlands bookie, according to testimony in day eight of the trial. Lanny Ray Gunter, a man in serving time in federal prison after pleading guilty to a gambling charge, testified that Brett Parker owed him $175,00, according to WIS. Parker was paying off the debt by $5,000 or $10,000 a month. Family and friends of Bryan Capnerhurst, who was found shot dead along with Brett Parker's wife in the Parkers' Ascot Estates home in April 2012, also testified Monday, according to The State.
