The Essence of Dance is an individually owned Dance Arts Company. Our purpose is to teach the fundamentals of dance with an emphasis on proper body alignment to promote discipline, fitness and grace. Alternately, dancers will be exposed to culture and the arts in a beneficial and enjoyable manner. It is our staunch belief that ALL children should be immersed in the arts despite their economic standing which is why we are committed to offering our classes at very reasonable prices.

We are pleased to offer dance classes inside the Dance Studios of Meadow Lake Park, Forest Lake Park, and Harbison Rec right here in Columbia, South Carolina.

Our instructors have decades of dance and cheer experience and are excited to share that knowledge with your dancer.
